Spring manufacturing materials generally should have a high elastic limit, fatigue limit, impact toughness and good heat treatment properties, commonly used carbon spring steel, alloy spring steel, stainless spring steel and copper alloy, nickel alloy and rubber. The spring is manufactured by cold winding method and hot winding method. The diameter of the spring wire is less than 8 mm, and the cold winding method is generally used for those greater than 8 mm. Some springs are also forced or shot peening after being made, which can improve the bearing capacity of the spring.

5, progressive spring, this spring adopts the thickness, density inconsistent design, the advantage is that when the pressure is not large, it can absorb the ups and downs of the road through the part of the lower elastic coefficient, to ensure the comfort of riding, when the pressure increases to a certain extent, the thicker part of the spring plays the role of supporting the body, and the disadvantage of this spring is that the control feeling is not direct, the precision is poor.
