Shrapnel is a mechanical part, usually made of elastic material, which has a very wide range of applications. The working principle of shrapnel is closely related to its material characteristics and its structural design.

First, material characteristics

Common structural designs are as follows:

Plate spring: Consists of one or more plate springs, often used in large machinery suspension system or buffer system.

Coil spring: Coil steel strips into a spiral shape, commonly used in spring shock absorbers and spring doors.

Square ring spring: the steel belt is bent into a square ring, usually used in satellite communication systems, medical equipment, etc.

Lock spring: consists of several annular segments, commonly used in automotive suspension systems and coil springs.
